President Emmerson Mnangagwa today digressed from his usual quiet diplomacy and openly castigated former First Lady Grace Mugabe whom she equated to biblical character Delilah.

Addressing thousands of Zanu PF supporters at a rally in Chinhoyi Mnangagwa described Mrs Mugabe as wily character who had ‘literally usurped executive powers.’

However Mnangagwa avoided public confrontation with his former boss Robert Mugabe.

“Zanu PF is a party that has a traceable record of success.

We all know what our own Delilah did.She captured the executive powers and thought she could take over the Presidency.

However nobody owns Zanu PF.Even the President must be answerable to the people who gave him the mandate to be in the high office,” said Mnangagwa.

Mnangagwa also mocked G-40 elements for desperately attempting to discredit him.
