Terrence Mawawa|War veterans are demanding loans from banks under favourable conditions.

Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans’ Association (ZNLWVA) secretary-general and deputy minister for War Veterans, Victor
Matemadanda made the remarks while addressing the former freedom fighters in Bulawayo at the weekend.

“Banks operators think that giving the comrades money is risky, instead they give the tsotsis (fraudsters)
who have stolen millions.

We are going to approach banks that
want to work with us and we will give them our conditions. Such banks will be remembered for empowering comrades. I know there are some banks that were opened by
our monies and some of them have since closed,” said Matemadanda.
