|If it was e old days of the postman, he will be literally camping at National People’s Party leader Joice Mujuru’s doorstep dishing in resignation letters from the hundreds of her party officials who are dumping her.
The former Vice President’s once very promising opposition party is literally closing doors as almost everyone in the leadership of the party is throwing in the towel after a disastrous performance in the July 30 elections.
ZimEye.com was on Wednesday highly inundated with copies of numerous resignation letters that were being showered at Mujuru in a manner one would believe was planned ahead.
Below are, just, some of the letters that have been sent to Mujuru and made available to ZimEye.com.
Madam President, as I had indicated to you in our last Working Committee meeting that I would like to quit politics entirely, I now tender my resignation from NPP as Vice President and member of the party! Madam president, I wish you well for the future. Dr S S Nkomo.

RE: Resignation from our Provincial Executive Posts and the Party.
We the undersigned having made efforts to engage the National Party Leadership on the State of the Party before , during & after elections , having also written directly to the same and expecting some answers which we expected for a written response or to be addressed at the recently held special Standing Committee Meeting. We note with concern that nothing was resolved save for the fact that some top leadership distanced themselves from all what the party had made commitment to prior to elections.
Despite alerting you on the sad state affairs in the Province where there are mass resignation and defections , we feel your delay in addresing this by saying some meetings will be held is just a delaying tactic that is meant to buy time while you leave us at Provincial level burning from supporter rage.
Because of the above we therefore kindly revoke our membership from NPP and resign from the positions that came with it.
We wish the party and its leadership all the best in its endeavours
Regards
Mat North Provincial Working Committee.
