Journalist Granted $30 Bail For Taking Pictures Of ZRP Officers

By Own Correspondent| A Zimbabwean court here has ended the two day detention of Conrad Gweru, a freelance journalist, who was arrested by the Zimbabwe Republic Police officers for taking pictures.
Gweru, was arrested on Wednesday 26 September 2018 and charged with criminal nuisance as defined in section 41 of the Criminal (Law and Codification) Act for allegedly taking photographs of some traffic police officers.
He was however today granted $30 bail after his lawyer Gift Mtisi of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights applied for his release on bail.
He was remanded out of custody to 25 October 2018.
