By A Correspondent| There was drama when a ZANU PF man testifying in the shootings inquiry at Cresta Lodge said he did not witness any shooting, but he saw one soldier firing LIVE bullets.

When asked if he witnessed any shooting on the 1st August, the man, Mr Lawson Nhanhanda said, “I did not witness any shooting, because witnessing a shooting is actually seeing someone being shot. But I heard gunshots.”

He was asked a question: and can you tell where…? He replied:

“It was from soldiers, there was a group of soldiers round six or so, and then the other, one of the guys who was shooting but I could not look at them because this was my first time to heard gunshots and I really was in shock”

Another question was paused: When you heard the gunshots, obviously, I am thinking that you saw thereafter of the gunshots.

He also said in part, “I didn’t see the aftermath of the shooting but what I did is I saw and I heard the shooting.”
