Terrence Mawawa|Norman Mapeza has tipped the Warriors to complete the job against Liberia on Sunday and seal qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Mapeza who opened the campaign with a 3-0 win over Liberia before falling out with Zifa benefactor Walter Magaya leading to his inexplicable departure from the job, believes the Warriors have the depth to finish off their opponents.
“I have faith in the players and the coaches- they can finish the job at hand,” said Mapeza.
“Of course, Liberia are at home and would also want to push for a win so that they enhance their chances of qualifying as well but we have the capability to beat them there.
“I wish I could have given the coaches some tips on Liberia but all the same, they can still win.”
Zimbabwe arrived in Monrovia yesterday and need only a point to guarantee themselves a place at next year’s continental showpiece. A win on Sunday coupled with another positive result against Congo in the last match at home will guarantee top spot for the Warriors.
