The government run parastatal, Zinara has rushed to repair the road leading to Emmerson Mnangagwa’s mother’s home area in Zvishavane.
The state media reported saying there is exuberance among community members as the surfacing of the road linking Lundi and Zvishavane has stretched over 20kms to reach Mabasa business center.
ZBC displayed the below picture of the resurfacing road:

The report continued saying: the dusty road often presented nightmares for motorists and travelers with expecting mothers having been the most affected.
Many a motorist would have to visit a garage for servicing after plying the Lundi – Zvishavane road and for expectant mothers and the sick, the journey pronounced untold misery and in some instances pre-deliveries.
But now, there is a fresh breath among residents as the promise of the surfacing of the road by the second republic is taking shape with each passing week dissipating the common fear earlier held by the villagers that it could just have been an election campaign gimmick.
While the surfacing has reached Mabasa business center, motorists are also pleading with authorities to proceed and tar the 25 km stretch linking Mabasa and the main Gweru – Zvishavane highway.
The road development project, being undertaken by Bitumen World, is one among the many infrastructural development projects spearheaded by the second republic under Emmerson Mnangagwa.
