Farai Dziva|A Bikita traditional leader has cleared the air on the explosion that stunned villagers in the area yesterday.

Acting Chief Ziki Busai Blessing Mutema of Nedombwe Village in Bikita said nobody was injured when the explosion occurred.

“On the 23rd of March 2019 around 0700hrs, a rock rolled down Matekenya Mountain -which is located in Matekenya Village Chief Ziki Bikita

As the rock went down, it crashed against other rocks on the mountain resulting in an explosion and thick smoke that engulfed the area for a while.

The rock created a gully on its way down the slope but there were no injuries,” said Chief Ziki.
