By Own Correspondent- International Red Cross country director in Zimbabwe Paolo Cernuschi has expressed satisfaction on how Tropical Cyclone Idai relief aid was distributed in Chipinge today (Wednesday).

He said the aid was being distributed transparently and not along partisan lines as claimed by reports.

Cernuschi said he visited Chipinge today.and did not witness any politicisation of food aid.

He said:

“I attended a distribution in Chipinge today for 200 families. Selection was transparent. 2 humanitarian agencies were present. No political statements made or implied. While reports of politicization of #CycloneIdai aid are concerning, I’m happy to have seen none of that today.”
