10 people, among them 4 children were nearly burnt to death when a building they were sleeping in was engulfed by an inferno on Wednesday morning.

The incident happened in Tshithaudze Suburb, Beitbridge.

The state owned Chronicle quoted the Beitbridge Municipality’s Head of Emergency Services George Maseko saying the fire broke out at around 5 AM.

The house was extensively damaged by the fire while a car that was parked in the yard was burnt to a shell.
