Samuel led the people of Israel well as a great prophet and a people’s leader. Upon the sunset of his tenure, Samuel then came to bid people farewell to pave way for the new leader, King Saul son of Kish, whom the people had demanded.

3.Effective Leadership is about lifetime service and sacrifice and never self benefit and personal aggrandizement.

4.Effective Leadership is about putting others ahead of self by denying bribes, dishonest gain and corrupt tendencies that cloud just and fair estimation of matters.

5.Effective leadership is about the humility apologizing when you wrong people you lead and never oppressing or suppressing them.

6.Effective leadership restores and submits to the WILL of God and guiding the people you lead to align to the purposes of the Almighty God, their author and maker.

1 Samuel 12:1-3: Then Samuel said to all Israel, “I have listened to your voice in all that you have said to me, and I have set over you a king. Now here is the king walking before you, and I am old and gray, and my sons are here with you. I have walked before you from my youth until this day. Here I am. Bear witness against me before the LORD and before His anointed: Whose ox or donkey have I taken? Whom have I wronged or oppressed? From whose hand have I accepted a bribe and closed my eyes? Testify against me, and I will restore it to you.
