Chipinge People Greeted Mnangagwa With Kasukuwere’s Song | WHAT WERE THEY TELLING ED? The people meeting president Emmerson Mnangagwa in Chipinge today greeted him using former G40 kingpin Saviour Kasukuwere’s Song, “regai vatonge!”
The praise singers are seen in the below ZBC footage singing loudly as Mnangagwa enters a small building in Chipinge where he was meeting the area’s revered Svikiro who is reportedly former president Robert Mugabe’s ancestral priest.
Insider sources told ZimEye, the Svikiro is angry with Mnangagwa following the 1 August bloodshed and the January shootings which combined left over 23 innocent lives dead.
A source close to the development told ZimEye, “Mnangagwa arikutsvaka kucheneswa. Pahutongi hwake ihwohwo Mnangagwa pane zvisina kumira zvakanaka.
“Hapana kuwirirana pakati pehurumende neSvikiro iroro. Nekuti Svikiro haride kuona nezve ropa.”
While fuller details of what was discussed inside were not clear, Mnangagwa can be seen on video apologising as if for the cyclone aid program. But insider sources insisted there is a deeper concern.
“There is serious disagreement between the Svikiro and Mnangagwa,” one of the sources said.
