“Zim Has Lowest Data Charges In Southern Africa”

Farai Dziva|Results of a recent survey have postulated that Zimbabwe has the lowest data charges in the Southern region.

This comes after the hiking of data tariffs by Econet Wireless and NetOne.

According to Communication Regulators Association of Southern Africa the cost of mobile data in Zimbabwe is the lowest in the region in US-dollar terms.

The research conducted by the Communication Regulators Association of Southern Africa shows Botswana recording the highest data tariffs per megabyte charging US$93, followed by Eswatini charging US$56 per 1000MB while Zimbabwe charges on average of US$20
per 1000MB.

The four leading telecommunications companies in Zimbabwe, namely, Econet, NetOne, Telecel and TelOne recently reviewed up tariffs of their internet bundles packages.
