MDC President Nelson Chamisa has made key appointments following a National Council meeting held at the party headquarters in Harare Wednesday afternoon.
Jacob Mafume was removed from the MDC spokesperson post and is now the Secretary for Elections, a newly created role.
The Lawyer and Hwange MP Daniel Molokele was appointed the new MDC spokesperson. Molokele lost in the race for Secretary-General to Chalton Hwende.
Other key appointments are as follows:-
Organising Secretary: Amos Chibaya
Deputy Organising Secretary: Happymore Chidziva
Deputy Treasurer: Murisi Zwizwai
Spokesperson: Daniel Molokele
Deputy Spokesperson: Luke Tamborinyoka
Secretary for Elections: Jacob Mafume
Meanwhile, Nelson Chamisa has also created new portfolios and made the following appointments.
Secretary for Planning in the President’s Office: Morgen Komichi
Secretary for Local Government: Elias Mudzuri
Secretary for International Relations: Gladys Hlatshwayo
Deputy Secretary for International Relations: Douglas Mwonzora
