Zimbabwe National Darts Team player, Sawujadi Phiri, who died after a short illness on Saturday was buried at Habane Muslim Cemetery in Esigodini on Tuesday.

Phiri was laid to rest by her Muslim religious leaders with scores of people mostly from the darts fraternity attending the burial.

In an interview after the burial, National Darts Association of Zimbabwe President Meynard Moyo described Phiri’s death as a huge loss to the game of darts in the country.

Phiri represented Zimbabwe at the Region 5 challenge in Malawi last year where she came out top after also representing her province in the national champions in Harare where she also emerged as the top woman player in the country.
