By A Correspondent- The Zimbabwe Energy regulatory authority has announced that it will regulate gas prices as a way of protecting consumers from those profiteering from the current energy challenges affecting citizens.

ZERA’s Mr Mataruse told the state media:

Its (price regulation) work in progress. When LP Gas Industry started, we decided to allow the industry to develop hence there was no control on its prices.

Now the industry has grown and that the market is bigger, we are moving in to protect consumers against exorbitant prices

ZERA has previously said they will regulate the gas when the industry grows.
