Dear Editor-There was drama in Moyonzizvo Street in Chesvingo, ZBS, Masvingo last night(28/12/2019) as a thief tried to steal from one house but was caught red-handed.

The thief miscalculated his time for duty as he tried to enter the house not knowing that it was the time most young people were coming from watching soccer.

He found himself cornered in the house and people called for assistance. The thief tried to run away after overpowering the owners of the house but he was eventually nabbed.

The thief begged for mercy blaming the economic crisis for his actions.

Lesson!

Please never leave doors unlocked at night when going out even if it’s for short time.When neighbours call for assistance all people must make sure they help -for you never know tomorrow it might be you.-Jeffryson Chitando
