By Farai D Hove| The MDC Vice President, Tendai Biti has slammed ZANU PF for firing members who have whistleblown on wrongdoing by non-members, a reference to businessmen Kuda Tagwirei, Billy Rautenbach and others.
Biti threw in a series of Tweets attacking the ZANU PF party leader, Emmerson Mnangagwa saying;
“On what basis is punitive action taken against members who have attacked & exposed wrongdoing by non-members. How does an attack on external players cause internal disharmony? Unless of course as we always argue, you are the Arch Bishop of plunder. His grace, the Pillager.”
He goes on to unleash, what he terms, a fight against state capture.
“It’s time to fight #StateCapture in ZIM: Billy Rautenbach, John Bredenkamp, Afrexim Bank, Kuda Tagwireyi, Trafigura, the Butcher, Anjin, Mbada.”
Youth leader Pupurai Togarepi was kicked out of the politburo, while Godfrey Tsenengamu and Lewis Matutu were suspended from party business for 12 months; and so far Matutu has vowed not to be silenced. The two, Matutu and Ysemengamu are now to make a press statement on Friday.
