MDC National youth assembly organiser and Masvingo Urban ward 4 councillor Godfrey Kuraone has been charged with malicious damage to property.

Kurauone is accused of smashing Windows at Chicken Slice and NetOne offices in Masvingo.He is also accused of stoning a ZRP bus.

“The MDC National youth organiser has been charged with malicious damage to property.

He has been released from police custody,” Kurauone’s lawyers said in a statement.

Kuraone said: “I am innocent. I didn’t commit the offence. I am happy with the swift response of human rights lawyers advocate Mafa and advocate Mureri.”

Police claim Kurauone committed the offence during Job Sikhala’s trial on Friday.
