President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa’s government has deployed members of the South Africa National Defense Force to remove striking taxi drivers from the streets.

Soldiers descended on the streets of Pretoria on Monday morning accompanied by the South Africa Police Services.

The taxi owners are demanding R20 000 Taxi Relief Fund instead of the R5 000 promised by Transport minister Fikile Mbalula.
