By A Correspondent| The United States of America has called on Zimbabwe to walk to talk on policy reform agenda saying the repealing of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (AIPPA) should be followed by action.

Tibor Nagy, the United States Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs said his hope is that the implementation of the new Freedom of Information Bill will match its written intent of promoting freedom of information.

“We note Zimbabwe’s repeal and replacement of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act. We hope implementation of the new law will match its written intent – promoting freedom of information. Actions speak louder than words,” said Nagy.
