By A Correspondent| The MDC Alliance renegade, senator Douglas Mwonzora has been turned down by the Zimbabwe Republic Police and blocked from holding his desired extra-ordinary Congress on Thursday.

The ZRP has refused to allow Mwonzora saying in writing there will be a tightened lockdown.

The development comes as the MDC

, “Be kindly advised that due to COVID-19 cases that are on the increase especially local transmissions. It has been found necessary to tighten lockdown regulations to prevent the spread of the pandemic across the country.

“To this end, you are advised not to go ahead with your congress.”

Mwonzora was campaigning to get nominations for him to take over as MDC-T President.
