“There is no crisis or implosion in Zimbabwe. Neither has there been an abduction or war on citizens…”

The Information Secretary Nick Mangwana has denied government violated human rights. He described recent allegations as misinformation, peddled by political individuals and global actors.

Mangwana was speaking to the SABC news yesterday.

Last month security forces cracked down on anti-corruption activists participating in demonstrations. At least half a dozen people were arrested for peaceful protests in their communities. These incidents have drawn international condemnation. Ephert Musekiwa and Noma Bolani compiled this report.

Said Mangwana: “There is no crisis or implosion in Zimbabwe. Neither has there been an abduction or war on citizens.

“Like any other country in the world Zimbabwe has been enforcing covid-19 regulations, intended to safeguard and protect the lives of all citizens. “
