South African opposition leader, Mmusi Maimane has told MDC Alliance President Nelson Chamisa to change the name of his party to Change Alliance.

This follows wide reports that a rival faction led by Dr Thokozani Khupe had settled for the name MDC Alliance in the forthcoming by-elections, a move that would create confusion with the Chamisa led movement.

“My brother @nelsonchamisa change the organizational name to “Change Alliance” and keep it moving. Do not allow this to become a stumbling block. People know who is who and what is what,” said Maimane.
