By Jane Mlambo| Vice President Constantino Chiwenga who is also the minister of health and child care will today issue a statement on national lockdown as Covid-19 cases and deaths continue to escalate since the beginning of the new wave.

Zimbabwe is currently battling a new Covid-19 wave that has seen all designated hospitals reaching their carrying capacity while new cases continue to be reported everyday.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa began his annual leave today meaning he is not available to address the nation on the new measures to be taken to contain the situation that is already spilling out of hand.
