Tinashe Sambiri|Villagers in Chilonga, Chiredzi say they are tired of being used by the Zanu PF regime.

Expressing their views at a meeting facilitated by a Non Governmental Organization based in Masvingo, the villagers denounced the Zanu PF “gluttons” for misleading the electorate.

“These people (Zanu PF bigwigs) are not at all concerned about our welfare. They just want our votes, nothing else,” fumed one villager.

“MDC Alliance leader, President Nelson Chamisa is the real deal. He is the vision bearer who can take us to the promised land,” said another villager.

“To those in power, let me say it out clearly, we are not your doormats.You think we are doormats that you can use to clean up their dirty feet at will.

A doormat is always on the ground you step on it as you enter and leave the house.We are tired of being used by these(Zanu PF) people.They want to seize our ancestral land to create space for a grass project, it’s not fair,” said a 70- year- old villager.
