By A Correspondent- A United Kingdom-based senior Zimbabwe Nurse has warned fellow compatriots to be wary of the bogus nurse recruitment agencies.

Barbara Nyagomo-Chakabva, a practising nurse of more than 20 years in the UK, said genuine Nurse recruitment agencies wouldn’t charge would-be employees any fee for them to take you out of Zimbabwe.

Nyagomo’s warning comes at a time thousands of Zimbabweans are duped by fake Nurses recruitment agencies.

These fake nurse recruitment agents are sending nurses and those wishing to be nurses to their back-yard First Aid training centres, charging them as much as US$500 for what they call initial training that would qualify them to go to the UK.

Below is the full version of Nyagomo-Chakabva’s message to nurses who want to leave Zimbabwe for greener pastures.

Barbara Nyagomo-Chakabva

I am telling you about the Nursing job which I really know.
I have been a nurse all my life.
I trained in Zimbabwe and moved to the UK in 1996 for Economic Reasons and for Career Progression.
Nursing is a highly potential profession that has greater importance not only in Zimbabwe/Africa but also across the world.
Upon satisfying the educational qualification and clearing licensure examination of the respective country, you are eligible to practice nursing abroad/Globally.
Many Recruitment Agencies will secure the job and Accommodation for you.
-Assist you to get the Visa.
-Getting a Work Permit is easy as there is a shortage of Nurses globally.
-Some Recruitment Agencies will pay for your AirTicket and Relocation fees. If you are failing to get a place to study Nursing in Zimbabwe, try Private Nursing Colleges/Universities across Africa like Zambia, Namibia, South Africa, Kenya, Uganda. Recently there has been a large intake of Students nurses from Zimbabwe in Poland.
Research and read.
Be careful, Scammers.

Yours Truly
