Harare City Council mayor Jacob Mafume has addressed suggestions that Rufaro Stadium has been suspended from hosting league games due to outstanding issues at the football venue.
The stadium hosted its first set of matches in almost five years over the Easter holidays after receiving a temporary approval by the ZIFA First Instance Body.
However, there were a number of concerns raised, chief among them, lack of functioning turnstiles, which caused long queues outside the venue.
In the Matchday Five fixtures announced by the PSL on Tuesday, Rufaro Stadium was excluded from hosting games this weekend as the venue is set to undergo reinspection first.
Addressing the turnstiles issue, Mafume dismissed the reports, and blamed the clubs instead.
