Zimbabwean opposition politician and former Harare Central MP, Murisi Zwizwai has died.

The cause of Zwizwai’s death is not yet known.

Zwizwai was the Member of Parliament for Harare Central representing the Movement for Democratic Change led by Morgan Tsvangirai and later MDC Alliance led by Nelson Chamisa.

He was removed from contesting for the seat in the 2023 general elections.

At the time of his death, he was a Senator for Harare following his recent appointment by self proclaimed CCC Interim Secretary General Sengezo Tshabangu.
