Zanu PF youth league official Taurai Kandishaya has claimed that President Emmerson Mnangagwa will soon resolve the country’s electricity crisis.

In a statement on Friday, Kandishaya said:

“Vision belongs to the visionary who is the author and founder of it. You comrades must stop claiming that the vision belongs to the nation. In our case, the visionary is a statesman and nationalist who has shared his vision for the development of our motherland.

If the vision were truly for the country, why did we not see it manifest before 2017? Through his vision, electricity shortages will soon be a thing of the past, as solar projects are nearing completion:

  1. The Chitulipasi community solar project is 95% complete.
  2. The Mtshabi Grid Project in Nkayi District was 99% complete one week ago.
  3. The Matsetsa project in Buhera stands at 99% completion.
  4. The Dete community solar project in Hurungwe is 90% complete.
  5. The Great Zimbabwe hydro power station is 90% complete.

This is President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s vision, and he is leaving no one and no place behind.”
