By A Correspondent | Harare, Zimbabwe — Popular Zimbabwean butcher and online store KwaJahman, operated by Jahman Adamski and Mai Oliver, has announced a significant shift in its business operations. The duo has decided to close their physical butcher shop and focus exclusively on their online store, a decision spurred by health concerns and operational demands.
In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, Jahman explained the decision, citing the toll of managing multiple businesses, including the butcher shop, a poultry farm, and an import venture, while grappling with his health and lack of family time. “It was a tough decision but had to be made,” he said, adding that the move will allow them to prioritize their online business, where KwaJahman initially started.

Community Support Recognized
Jahman expressed gratitude to customers who supported the business over the years, challenging the narrative that the Zimbabwean community does not support its own. “What people say about the Zim community not being supportive to their own is not entirely true,” he said. “I have met some brilliant people who were with us from day one.”
He also acknowledged past challenges with delayed online orders and encouraged customers to reach out for assistance, pledging to personally resolve outstanding issues.
Expanding Horizons
KwaJahman’s online presence is set to grow further, with the anticipated launch of a dedicated Ireland-based website in the coming weeks. This move reflects their commitment to serving a broader market while ensuring their health and well-being remain a priority.
A Farewell to Physical Operations
While bidding farewell to the physical butcher shop, Jahman looked back fondly on the journey. “I really enjoyed serving you all & had some real good laughs,” he shared, emphasizing that the change is driven by his health and the demanding nature of running the business.
Looking Forward
KwaJahman now aims to reclaim its spot as the “number 1 go-to online butcher,” delivering quality meat and maintaining strong relationships with its loyal customers. The shift to an exclusively digital model positions the business to adapt to modern demands while accommodating the personal needs of its founders.
The Zimbabwean and diaspora community can continue to support KwaJahman through their online platforms as they embark on this new chapter.
