Kalisto Pasuwa will depart from Nyasa Big Bullets after six years as the head coach of the Malawian football powerhouse.

The club has decided not to renew Pasuwa’s contract, which expires on 31 December.

The Zimbabwean coach was informed of the decision last month.

This development follows a challenging 2024 season for Pasuwa, as he struggled to replicate the success of the previous year. In 2023, Bullets triumphed in all four domestic competitions, including securing their fifth consecutive league title. However, they faced difficulties this season, failing to defend three of those trophies.

Pasuwa’s Malawian agent, Felix Ngamanya Sapao, confirmed the news to The Times newspaper, stating:

“He is indeed not renewing his contract with Bullets, and there is official correspondence regarding that decision from last Thursday. However, he has not yet committed to any other team.”

Currently in Zimbabwe for the holidays, Pasuwa has been linked with a potential move to coach the Malawi national team, the Flames.
