In an exclusive operation ZimEye in which has monthly collaborated with senior police bosses since Sept 2024, the Waterfalls Police Inspector Nyarai Gunhe who in the period Sept 2024-Jan 2025, has been referring Walter Magaya’s staff members to the same Office In Charge who stamped the fake UNISA certificate the preacher used in his High Court case against ZIFA, was engaged. The Inspector was today caught on a LIVE broadcast arranging to receive another suspicious payment of USD1,000 from @phdmagaya’s deputy Clive Musango declared in writing as for the purpose of authenticating another @unisa certificate for the preacher since the first one done on 15 Dec 2024 that @ProfMadhuku argued against in the High Court.
Today’s arrangement is not the first involving the same officer and the same Walter Magaya employee. They have been in the same payment operation since Sept 2024. The first time the purpose of payment of USD500, was for covering up the rape of several women caged at the hotel and covering up evidence following the murder of Magaya’s bodyguard, Liberty Chinembiri. In none of these cases, has the officer raised alarm.
Officers including Inspector Nyarai Gunhe have been receiving suspicious money from Walter Magaya since 7th Sept 2024 and just today 30 Jan 2025, a payment of USD1,000 for another UNISA certificate was accepted for by Inspector Nyarai Gunhe to be dropped off at 10.30am; this time the officer was communicating with an investigative journalist at ZimEye through her official phone number + 26377 248 ****
Bosses at PGHQ (headquarters) in the period 8 Sept 2024 right down to 30 Jan 2025, have told ZimEye Inspector Gunhe broke the code, and an investigation was underway at the time of writing.
This official ZRP operation was run due to the rapid disappearance of case evidence at the police station, payments spotted in Magaya’s bank accounts since 2017, and of late, the fake UNISA certificate.
Senior officers confirmed to ZimEye that Officer Gunhe’s communications to the undercover journalist since Sept 2024 constitute serious wrongdoing. A project was set up soon afterwards since 8 Sept 2024.
The payment arrangement was broadcast LIVE on the ZimEye Facebook page. The journalist who successfully infiltrated Walter Magaya’s operations was posing as a Tinashe sent by Magaya’s overseer Clive Musango. More on the ZimEye news website
