The Safety & Victims Advocacy Foundation urgently reminds our police institutions of their duty to enforce the regulation requiring the use of warning triangle reflectors for vehicles experiencing breakdowns on the road.
Every year, innocent lives are tragically lost due to head-on or rear-ended collisions with stationary vehicles that are not properly marked. Despite the critical nature of this regulation, its enforcement remains weak, and drivers have become negligent, often placing tree branches or burst tires on the road instead of using the required reflective triangles. This negligence continues to put lives at risk while authorities look on.
We urge all authorities to enforce this regulation, regardless of its specific section number in traffic laws. While sections may vary, the need for this universal law remains constant.
