14:27 Joseph Chinotimba takes charge of the podium and announces that soon after Congress ZANU PF will have a new executive. “Vatakadzidzisa mupolitics ndovava muPolitburo,” he says.
14:25 Mugabe goes inside the building for the politburo meeting after addressing the crowd.
14: 15 Mugabe continues:  “inga kana muchato unodambuka wani?

“Asi vaMutasa ndivo Secretary vedu (crowd boos Mutasa in denial)…. Asi hamuchavada?  (Crowd begins to cheer saying in unison “yes”)

Mugabe ends his address and the crowd begins to disperse from the place orderly.

13: 42   SAYS MUGABE “To war veterans Jabu hameno ndimi munonzi makamutengera motaka navaMutasa akagozopiwha dzimwe five from Butau’s business and he is now worshipping those who gave him. Don’t buy people they are not commodities. We want to be focused on improving people’s lives, that’s why we were in China. We didn’t know our old leaders wanted money.”
1339: Mugabe blasts people for for blocking the “Meet the people” tours. He says leaders cannot choose themselves in the party pointing to the constitution which he says must be respected. He says leaders hsould be chosen on merit.
“If you are a power hungry person practising vote buying then you are not fit to be in our party. Even if you are a veteran we will kick you out. I said to Cde Mutasa, you are being accused of mobilising youths and he said they were not youths from Manicaland but Harare.
“Mashonaland West chairman thinks he is now king kupfuura VaMugabe. What you don’t know is that when chosen it’s not a green light to lead all over. You should lead people and not be selective in your approach.
“We want those attending the Congress to be selected transparently.”
1320: Mugabe comes out and thanks the people for coming. Our party is a revolutionary party, it was formed by many leaders who have died , I am one of them we didn’t form the party for ourselves but for the people. 13:17   Didymus Mutasa once again attempts to authoritatively address the crowd and is instead drowned by the chanting against him saying Pasi neGamatox . He withdraws away from the podium.
13:04   Shuvai Mahofa takes over podium. Says senior Women in the League (appearing to refer to Mujuru) are dishing out farms to whites. “Because of this we then asked Mai Mugabe to take over,” she says.
12: 59  War Vet Nyaruwata standing at the podium says “Robert Mugabe must rule forever”.
 12: 58 Harare Youth Chair comes to the podium says the party is tired of corruption, and that there are people plotting to remove Mugabe from power.
12: 53  Shuvai Mahofa, (Politburo member) starts addressing the demonstrators.
12: 52   A man said to be Harare Provincial Chairman blasts the police for hindering the youths from protesting and blocking those hoping to enter the demo area
12:45  Mugabe  now to address crowd
12:34   Mugabe’s bodyguards begin clearing the area for calm.

12:31  – The crowd instructs him to say Pasi neGamatox,” he instead says Pasi ne MDC. They cause more nosies ordering him to leave, he is nearly attacked by tw youths and is forced to leave the area…
12:30 – Didymus Mutasa himself comes out and is now addressing the protesters but the crowd refuses to be addressed by him.
12:05 – Crowd defies CIO calls for order. They continue shouting insults on Didymus Mutasa calling him Gamatox and shouting “Pasi ne mbavha dziri mu paper – apparent reference to Vice President Joice Mujuru who appeared in today’s Herald paper in an article attacking her on extortion charges.
11:52 – CIOs begin moving around to prepare the crowd for Mugabe to address the crowd.
11:49 – Flora Buka, Jacob Mudenda, Douglas Mombeshora arrive.
11:50 – Robert Mugabe arrives and the crowd erupts into chaotic noise. Mugabe appears to evade the crowd and uses a the basement entrance into the building.
1145  – Emmerson Mnangagwa arrives flanked by other politburo members. There is an chaos as people begin screaming saying  “unodyiwa neshumba””
 
1045 am Way before the politburo meeting started, Zanu PF supporters converged at the party headquarters before to the crunch politburo meeting that is to discuss among other issues charges against Joice Mujuru and the thorny factionalism subject that now threatens to rip the party apart for the first time since independence.
 
 – Some placards are reading “Dr Grace Mugabe is 100% Correct”, while others are reading “Down with DR 10%,” referring to Joice Mujuru. They are singing insults of Joice Mujuru saying “Zimbuya muroyi repaDotito!” Other placards read, ““Pamberi nekufumura mbavha….” “Ngenani muhofisi dhokotela Grace…” “Chimbonwawo Mazowe Orange Crush.”

– Joice Mujuru entered the building early around 6.30am, a source told ZimEye.
– Youths were drawn from almost all provinces around the country apart from Matebeleland South which reprotedly refused to come. A source told ZimEye, the protests was planned four days before when buses were arranged to transport the youths en-masse.
