LIONESS SAFELY DARTED AND REMOVED FROM KARIBA TOWN AREA 25/4/16
A big thank you to Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Authority for their commitment to safeguarding our Wildlife and all involved in the successful darting and re-location of this girl.

Zim Parks in their capacity as the Authority of, guardian and protectors of our Wildlife effectively and comfortably captured her in the KAWFT Lion trap and saw to her every need in this undertaking.
Aware Trust/Anton Newall and team who dropped everything at extremely short notice and headed straight to Kariba to assist with the task.
Rae Kokes from Lion Alert with her wealth of knowledge and information.
KAWFT team, MAPP and all who worked to safely to move her a distance from the town to where it is hoped and believed she will link up with her Pride again.
Warthogs for accomodation for the Aware Trust/Anton Newall and team.
A Kariba Resident for supplying meat for her.
She has been fitted with a radio collar kindly supplied by Aware Trust and periodic checks will made on her position.
