Terrence Mawawa| Former Vice President Joice Mujuru is the game changer in Zimbabwe’ s power matrix, a senior National People’s Party (NPP) official has claimed.

NPP Spokesperson Jeffryson Chitando yesterday said Mujuru was the trump card for the grand coalition.

“Zimbabweans must understand that the person or organization/political party that posted on social media that NPP President Dr Teurai Ropa Mujuru has unilaterally declared that NPP has immediately joined the MDC Alliance must be appreciating: (1) the NPP brand or Dr Joice Mujuru as a person.

2) the importance of NPP in adding value to any coalition or alliance.

3) The importance of building a united coalition to fight Zanu PF in the coming elections.

4 The experience Dr Joice Mujuru will bring to the coalition or alliance,” said Chitando.

“As NPP we do understand the concerns of every Zimbabwean in calling for unity of the opposition parties.NPP will always be open to the formation of a coalition with like minded political parties and organizations.

We have always stated that a grand coalition,which NPP would join, is one in which the name of the coalition/alliance is not linked to any of the partners.

The logo, slogans and campaigning colours to be used during the elections should not be linked to any of the partners,” added Chitando.
