In an incident that stunned the Chiredzi Community last week, a man who was accused of having an affair with a married woman went berserk and attacked his alleged lover’ s husband.

According to Masvingo Provincial Police Spokesperson, Inspector Charity Mazula, the incident happened on May 3 when Trynos Jomboti Gundani approached Urayayi Chinyungure whom he accused of having an affair with his wife.

Gundani who was armed with a machete, struck Chinyungure with the weapon.

“Gundani attacked Chinyungure with a machete and he also hit him with clenched fists all over his body,” said Mazula.

Chinyungure then armed himself with a spear and pursued Gundani.

Chinyungure stabbed Gundani with the spear on the chest and the latter collapsed. He was rushed to hospital where he died upon admission.
