By Own Correspondent| MDC Alliance President Nelson Chamisa today got a rousing welcome at Murombedzi business centre in Zvimba, an area which is home to former president Robert Mugabe.

Declared a no go area for opposition political parties, Zvimba constituency has in the past been deemed as a Zanu Pf stronghold where the opposition political parties have never won both the legislator or council seats in the elections.

In 2013, Zanu Pf’s Ziyambi Ziyambi garnered 3 510 votes in Zvimba West, while Tawanda Tungamirai got 3 014 votes in Zvimba East.

In Zvimba North and South, the election outcome was heavily contested resulting in the declaration of a re-run.
