Memorial Service For The Late Ambassador Trudy Stevenson Held

By Own Correspondent| Relatives, friends and colleagues of the late Zimbabwean Ambassador to Senegal, Trudy Stevenson attended a church service for the late patriot at the Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church in My Pleasant, Harare. 

The late ambassador, who died at her residence in Dakar, Senegal on 24 August 2018, was 73.

Foreign Affairs officials who included Ambassador Jonathan Wutawunashe, Chitsaka Chipaziwa, Ambassador Mary Mubi, the Minister of Health and Child Care Dr David Parirenyatwa and the late Mrs Stevenson’s children and grandchildren, were in attendance.

She was posted to Senegal at the formation of the Government of National Unity in 2009 from the MDC led by Professor Welshman Ncube.

She had retired from politics to become a career diplomat.
