By Farai D Hove| There was drama today when ZANU PF delegates at the party’s conference in Esigodini broke into song declaring that their leader Emmerson Mnangagwa is a lonely lion in the bush.

The song was belted as follows (video) word for word: ” ED ndi-mambo, heee haa heyaa. Shumba inogara yega musango!” [ENGLISH – “ED is a King, a lion that lives alone in the bush.”]

The delegates proclaimed Mnangagwa a King, while the ma himself would in writing curiously declare a claim that he is a servant who listens to the priorities and dreams of all Zimbabweans.

Said Mnangagawa after the function: “Today I addressed the 2018 ZANU-PF National People’s Conference, which is running under the theme, “Zimbabwe is Open for Business: Peace, Unity towards an Upper Middle Income Economy by 2030.”

“As the governing party, we must always strive to understand and listen to the needs, priorities and dreams of all Zimbabweans, so we can build the Zimbabwe that we all want. We must remember at all times that those who elect are masters, and those who are elected are their servants.”
