By Own Correspondent| Independent legislator for Norton Temba Mliswa has queried the detention of visiting general secretary of the African Regional Organisation of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) Kwasi Adu Amankwa.
Mliswa said such actions by President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration nullified the assertion that the country was on a new trajectory and in a new dispensation.
The independent legislator queried why the labour union leader was subjected to such treatment yet he did not pose any threat to the country.
Said Mliswa:
“The alleged detainment of ITIC Africa Secretary General Mr Amankwa is a disturbing own goal by the administration. These are the kind of blunders that constantly drags us from truly moving in the new dispensation spirit. What greater threat did he pose for such?
