The state has presented a series of Tweets by Transform Zimbabwe leader Jacob Ngarivhume that they are using as evidence that he incited Zimbabweans to violently remove President Emmerson Mnangagwa from power.

Below are the Tweets:

  • A. Today I spent the day meeting and consulting different stakeholders, mobilizing for the #31 July movement. I met with top bishops, Ian Makone, Dr @ShingiMunyeza, Elton Mangoma and @CdeGodfreyTsenaz. The buy-in is growing, CORRUPTION IS IN TROUBLE and HOPE is on the way.
  • B. 1. On the 31st of July I’m proposing a national demonstration. People are suffering so that Mnagagwa can live out his fantasy to be a president. As a people we need to think logically.
  • C. THESE CORRUPT CRIMINALS ARE DESTROYING OUR FUTURE. LET’S BRING OUR SUFFERING TO THE GOVERNMENT’S ATTENTION. LETS COME TOGETHER AS CITIZENS AND SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
