South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters party has hit back at Norton legislator Temba Mliswa for trying to silence Julias Malema from speaking on the current Zimbabwean problems saying he at one time frequented their offices pleading for assistance to dethrone former President Robert Mugabe.
Mliswa has responded to Malema’s tweet in which he called for the closure of the Zimbabwean embassy in South Africa, saying he should allow Zimbabweans to sort out their own problems without external influence.
But Malema’s deputy Shivambu shot back saying Mliswa was changing principles for his own convinience by seeking to silence EFF which he equally approached for assistance to fight Mugabe.
“Aren’t you the same @TembaMliswa who frequented our offices in Johannesburg pleading for assistance with the Zimbabwe when President RG and the G40 faction isolated you? Don’t change principles for convenience. We will speak against Mnangagwa in the same way we spoke on Pres RG,” said Shivambu.
Malema had tweeted that, “We call for the removal of the Zimbabwean Embassy in SA until they restore the human rights in that country. Failure to do so, we will prevent any official from the Zimbabwean government from participating in any gathering in SA until they respect ordinary Zimbabweans.”
In his response Mliswa said, “To my brother @Julius_S_Malema I say please allow us the room to deal with our issues whilst you focus on your own. I’m very much against abductions and am for constitutionalism and sincerely believe that as a country we can ride this rough patch out.”
