Harare Magistrate Esthere Chivese grants an order we sought on behalf of Tsitsi Dangarembga and Julie Barnes for permanent removal of reporting conditions and for the permanent return of their passports to allow them to travel on personal business.

Dangarembga and Barnes represented by Chris Mhike and Paidamoyo Saurombe of ZLHR had been reporting at some Zimbabwe Republic Police stations once per week as part of their bail conditions, which were imposed after they were arrested in July and charged for allegedly taking part in an anti-government protest.

The two return to court on 5 January 2021.
