“Free Allan Moyo! Unionism is not a crime but an integral right”, Mdc Alliance Namibia fumes over weaponisation of the law by the clueless rogue Zanupf regime.

Mdc Alliance Namibia demands the immediate release of Allan Moyo, a Zimbabwe National Students Union (Zinasu) leader and a leader of the Youth Assembly in the democratic project (Mdc Alliance).

We are greatly stunned to continue witnessing further incarceration of our innocent and patriotic youth leadership. Zanupf must stop weaponising the law exploiting their captured judges, police and prison officers to muzzle and stifle democratic voices against Zanupf looting and senseless corruption. We have the conviction that our leader Allan Moyo is being tortured for believing in the change that delivers. Protesting to enhance people’s livelihoods is not a crime in Constitutional Democracy.

Allan Moyo, is a 23 year old student at the University of Zimbabwe.

He is a committed and dedicated youth leader under Zinasu. We salute his undoubted courage and confidence to organise and address citizens together with other vibrant leaders including the organic President Takudzwa Ngadziore at Copacabana about how the clueless Zanupf has dismally failed to better the livelihoods of our people in the Motherland 41 years after the purported independence. He profered solutions on how the desperate citizens can collectively gather and constitutionally remove the ineffective and corrupt Harare regime that has completely failed to resuscitate the sunken economy.

Moreover, Allan Moyo was arbitrarily arrested and charged with public violence although there was no any violent incident reported during and after the protest. Citizens at home and in the diaspora are obliged to offer solidarity to our imprisoned comrade because his crime was advocating for a transformed nation which is corruption-free. Allan Moyo has been in prison for close to 3 months now. Social democrats must pent up their outrage demanding justice and freedom to our dear comrades. The imprisonment is an assault on the freedom to petition duty bearers. It’s clear that the satanic Zanupf regime has curtailed the universal basic freedoms of expression and association as well as criminalising Unionism. We demand his unconditional release.

Moreso, it has become ridiculous that Social Democrats continue to watch this wholesome miscarriage of justice without offering solidarity and revolutionary brotherhood to our young pragmatic leader. In social democracy solidarity is a core value hence genuine revolutionaries must assist us in demanding justice and equality before the law. Monocracy does not have a place in a democratic dispensation, we should raise up our voices fighting this attempt to put voices of dissent on mute. As social democrats, we believe in unity and great zeal to confront the beast in the eye. Bail is a constitutional right in an independent country, Allan Moyo is just a youthful leader who deserves bail but Zanupf is using prisons to deter vibrant leaders who have the varlour to challenge Zanupf Satanists’ corrupt and incompetent governance.

Mdc Alliance Namibia also demands the immediate release of Hon Joana Mamombe, Cecilia Chimbiri, Tungamirai Madzokere and Last Maengahama who are enduring imprisonment on trumped up charges.

The persecution of opposition activists and trade unionists must be confronted with equal measure. Zanupf must release all prisoners of conscience and allow Constitutional Democracy to reign. We are very committed to offer solidarity to victims of Zanupf thugocratic tendencies.
