By James Gwati-Police details in Harare are demanding bribes of US$5 from citizens whom they would have found “improperly” wearing face masks.

The police are nabbing even minors for the same “offence”.

They are also hunting down unsuspecting citizens even those in restaurants eating and arrest them for “improper” wearing face masks.

Those who would have failed to offer them the demanded bribes are then taken to Harare Central Police station where they detain them in cells for 48 hours and released.
