Kyle Walker’s wife, Annie Kilner, has filed for divorce, according to reports.
The 31-year-old delivered the news to the Manchester City star, 34, after enlisting lawyers to begin the legal process of ending their marriage.
Annie is reportedly seeking a share of Walker’s £27 million fortune as their relationship deteriorates. Sources indicate that the couple is no longer in contact, and Walker is also consulting with his legal team.
The divorce papers were served weeks ago amid rising tensions following a scandal involving Walker’s love child with ex-mistress Lauryn Goodman.
A source revealed, “Kyle was shocked when he received the papers. They have discussed it, and while they are contemplating their next steps, this doesn’t necessarily mean a divorce is imminent. Annie wants him to understand she’s serious about their situation, but this move could backfire if it’s a bluff.”
The couple, who were childhood sweethearts from Sheffield, separated over Christmas after news of Walker fathering a second child with Lauryn emerged. Annie learned of the situation through a text from Lauryn, and they have since been attempting to salvage their relationship.
The pair only tied the knot in November 2021 in a private ceremony at Mottram Hall in Cheshire.
