Chihuri "now a pastor"? - THE FACTS
Chihuri “now a pastor”? – THE FACTS

Jolted by the weekend expose that police officers are being forced to attend daily church services pastored by Police Commissioner Augustine Chihuri himself, the police boss has been forced to climb down on his directive.
The story which broke out through ZimEye.com for the first time two weeks ago, had heads rolling in the force such that police spokesperson Charity Charamba was Monday baying for the blood of ZimEye’s Simba Chikanza.
Charamba who rang Chikanza after apparently having not fully read the whole article at first, accused him of not publishing her full interview with him over the weekend.
Wrote Chikanza on his Facebook wall, “Just received a call from ZRP spokesman Charamba, fuming at me over the Chihuri church story claiming I wrote falsehoods. She wanted to beat me up, literally(I am not joking, she even said it). She says “Why did you write that article without placing my comment in the article?”
However, after much deliberation Charamba explained that the so called ‘church services’ were just normal fellowship held in the police chapel and were voluntary not compulsory. She then revealed she was angry to the point of intending to beat the journo up.
She said they were mere chaplaincy meetings ordinarily been conducted years before.
However, recent communication leaked to ZimEye.com on the Sunday evening by insiders within the force, indicates that after the story broke, Chihuri rushed to instruct Senior assistant commissioner Stephen Mutamba to stop forcing people to attend.
Said the source, “Today he(Chihuri) told Senior assistant commissioner Stephen Mutamba not to force people to attend. He told him during Sunday’s service that ended at 1300 hours,” revealed our source. – ALSO READ –  Chihuri Starts A Church.

  1. The only change is that the CHIHURI will no longer force the officers to attend but the said officers will instead force THEMSELVES to attend. Kubasa ka uku!!
