Chinamasa Slashes Teachers’ Allowances

Government has reduced student teachers’ allowances from $329 to $157.
Students yesterday told ZimEye.com presenting their printed evidence.
“I am also a student teacher at MKOBA Teacher’s College and I am on teaching practice,” they said.
They continued, “we were all caught by surprise this time since we have been receiving $190 into our accounts after the college had deducted $140 for tuition fee from the $329. But we only received $10 now into our accounts and we contacted our SRC president to confirm.
“She then told us that she was told of the matter by the Salary Service Bureau this night (Tuesday).
“Right now as I am talking have got a message $10 which I have just received,” they concluded. More to follow…
